Decorating the fireplace mantle is my favorite place to decorate for the holidays! I think that is because the fireplace is the coziest place in the house and I love adding Christmas stockings, garland, and lights. This year I wanted to go with more of a neutral mantle. I centered the mantle using a black & white family photo and then found these adorable white ceramic houses at Target to place on either side of the frame. I also found some adorable white ceramic houses at Wayfair. Then on either side of the houses I added these cute mini evergreen trees. At the end of each side of the mantle I added mercury glass candle holders. To create the extra cozy holiday vibe I added evergreen garland across the fireplace mantle wrapped in Christmas lights!
This is the first year I get to use my matching monogrammed Christmas stockings! I have been wanting to get everyone in my family matching monogrammed Christmas stockings but I wanted to keep with the neutral & aqua coloring that I use for the holidays. Not easy to find someone that will do the monogram in teal, but I found a great shop on Etsy that made these for me. I selected Jute fabric, teal thread for the monogram, and the Vine font for half the stockings and the stacked basic font for the other half. I used the removable Command hooks to hang the stockings on the mantle and then covered the hook with a pretty bow. If you need help creating a bow like this, definitely check out my article on Creating a Fancy Bow.
Definitely my favorite part of the house right now!
