With my neutral Christmas decor this year I just couldn’t envision traditional store bought wrapping paper under the tree this year. Decided to go old school and use paper brown bags, festive ribbon, and greenery! If you have some Trader Joe Bags lying around here is a beautiful and functional way to use them! Here are the steps I went through to transform the Trader Joe paper bags into wrapping paper:
Step 1: Open the paper bag and cut down the side along the line.
Step 2: Once you get to the end of the side line, follow the line to the right and the left and cut to the end.
Step 3: Cut down the center of the bottom of the bag
Step 4: Once you reach the other side of the bag, follow the line to the right and the left and cut to the end.
Step 5: Cut the two extra rectangles off the bottom of the bag
Step 6: Gently pull on the handles to remove
Step 7: Now you have a nice rectangular piece of wrapping paper to work with!
Step 8: Wrap the gifts, add a festive ribbon and some faux greenery! Write a personalized note on the present for the recipient.
