Creative Place Settings
Creating unique, beautiful place settings are my favorite part of creating a holiday tablescape. I think this is because they truly are what provide the wow factor and what draw people into the design. I knew I wanted to do little wreaths on each plate and saw these personalized wood cuttings from Blue Bonnet Design of Geneva, IL and knew they would be perfect together. I made these little wreaths using garland roping from JoAnn Fabrics. Of course I can’t find the exact garland I used online anymore 😫however I found this similar White Berry Roping Garland that would be beautiful! I just tied the personalized wood cuttings to the top of the wreaths and voila, a simple and elegant place setting.
I combined two different types of eucalyptus and evergreen to create this amazing smelling and beautiful festive arrangement. I placed the live greenery in a mason jar with water and then placed the mason jar into the galvanized bucket. I surrounded the top of the arrangement with spanish moss to create an earthy finish to the look. By using the mason jar I am able to keep the greenery more upright and it enables me to keep the greenery watered. Love the festive look of galvanized buckets for the arrangements! In addition to the live greenery I added two faux small Christmas trees. Love combining faux and real greenery together!
Used several different kinds of candles of differing heights, materials, and sizes to create a cozy table. Found some amazing rustic lanterns and candle holders that would look amazing on a table like this!
These three different rustic candle holders would look amazing together! The Tiered Candle Stand would look fantastic in the center of the table providing height and two of the Reclaimed Wood Candle Lanterns would look amazing on the end of the table on both sides. Several of the birch candles would look beautiful intermixed within the table decorations.
Love using scarfs as part of my table cloth linens! Yes, that brown plaid runner on my table is actually a scarf! Love this burlap table runner! It would look amazing paired with this brown plaid blanket scarf!
Hope this article gave you some creative ideas to help you think outside the box in planning for your own tablescape this holiday season! Happy decorating!
