What is more cheery, colorful, and playful than kids artwork? Kid’s artwork is a great way to inspire imaginative play, fun, and creativity! What better place to display kid’s artwork than the playroom! I was able to create this entire look for less than $60 dollars! Check on my video on creating this look here. Selecting the artwork
I tried to select bright colorful pieces that would go with the aqua & pink theme of the room. I also tried to select artwork of various shapes and sizes to create a layered look on the shelves!
Selecting & Arranging the Frames
I decided to go with white and gold frames to create a bright look with a bit of glamour. I also plan on using other gold accents throughout the room as well. I selected several different sized frames to create a layered look, some laying horizontal and some vertical. I used the Mainstays 8×10 Linear Frame in White, Mainstays Museum 11″ x 14″ Matted to 8″ x 10″ Picture Frame in White, Better Homes & Gardens 8″x10″ Gold Picture Frame, and the Better Homes & Gardens 14×18 Matted to 11×14 Gold Frame. This frames are super inexpensive and look very polished!
I love the IKEA Mosslanda Picture Ledge! It comes in two sizes, 21 3/4 ” and 45 1/4″. I needed the smaller ledge because the playroom wall I am decorating is pretty narrow. I am going to stagger two ledges to cover the entire wall. These picture ledges have some depth to them and are great if you want a layered frame look! Plenty of space to layer 1-3 frames!
Hope this gives you some inspiration for how you can incorporate the adorable artwork your kids bring home into your home decor!
