This HFH Tribe article is about a reader that needed decor ideas for a large wall over their sofa in their family room! She has several small kiddos that are climbers so she needed options that would not include items that would be dangerous for them to climb on (i.e. no bookcases that were floor level). We put together four great kid friendly and inexpensive options! Option 1: Honeycomb & Fig Tree
This option includes a very inexpensive classic sofa that has removable cushion covers for easy maintenance, gorgeous honeycomb set of six hexagon shelves, and two faux fig trees (easy maintenance and no mess if the kids knock them over).
Option 2: Rustic Clock & Shelving with Poufs
Love that this shelving system creates a bookcase that is out of the kids reach! This gorgeous rustic clock is a great centerpiece to the wall and these poufs are great for kid seating or fort building!
Option 3: Rustic Wood Gather Sign and Circular Coffee Tables
Option 4: Rustic Mirror, Shutters, Farmhouse Wreath and Upholstered Footstools
Love to use long mirror such as this rustic option to open up the room! These wooden shutters are a great accent on either side! Love the idea of hanging a lambs ear wreath over each shutter to add a splash of color. Two upholstered footstools on either side of the couch are great for kid seating or fort building!
