Decided to transform our metal garage door which was previously just used to hang random pieces of artwork from the kids into a cohesive space that got the family organized and inspired as they left the house. The garage door is really the perfect space for a project like this because:
1.) It is the last thing everyone see’s before they leave the house, 2.) It is out of the way so it won’t interfere with the decor, 3.) It is a large waste of white space (which makes me want to make it pretty), and 4.) It is magnetic which opens up different possibilities for the space. I purchased an inexpensive magnetic menu board and two magnetic chore charts for the kiddos. The kids get so excited to mark off chores and responsibilities they have completed and the menu board is a great physical reminder for meal prep and planning. I worked with @lisaj.handmade to create the beautiful family sign and some favorite inspiration quotes out of some butterfly craft paper that I found. I feel like this is a new favorite space in our home and a great last reminder as our family leaves the home to start their day!
