In Chicagoland it can snow one day and be 70 degrees the next, there is no smooth transition into warmer weather. That is why this week I am working hard to get the garden and patio in shape for Spring entertaining. Yesterday I sprayed down and scrubbed the sandbox to get rid of all the yucky sand and leaves that have accumulated over the winter. Even though my kids are older they still love playing in the sand. Have loved our covered and raised sandbox! Found a similar one here. Love that it is raised to keep animals out and is a more comfortable height for the kids to play at. When they are little my kids stood to play and now that they are taller we have little chairs they scoot over to play in the sand. I am also super picky about the sand I put in the box. Love this option I found that is certified non toxic and contains no free silica or quartz.
Outdoor Toy Box
We have had this outdoor toy box since the kids were babies and I love that it keeps the toys clean and out of the rain and also that they can be put away at the end of the day and I don’t have toys strewn all across the lawn. Every Spring I go through and wash, reorganize , and restock the toy bin. Here is a similar outdoor toy box that would be a great option!
We are getting closer to be entertaining ready this Spring. Now I just have to finish working on the mulch and tackle the window cleaning!
